Rebels with a cause
Team India is in a rebellious mood. After the shocking defeat against New Zealand's in the opening match of the ongoing tri-series in Sri Lanka, the team management has sent a letter to N Srinivasan, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), blaming their choc-a-block schedule and overcrowded fixture list for the drop in performance. Expect jaded stars to take the field in next year's World Cup in the sub-continent.
Blame game
Denying any role in the money trail during the QBR launch in London, CWG Organising Committee director general, V K Verma, on Thursday held sacked officials, T S Darbari and Sanjay Mohindroo, responsible for all the deals at that time. Verma also defended Kalmadi, chairman of the organising committee.
