They say morning shows the day. Since taking over Team India's reins, coach Michael Nobbs (right) has shown results in almost all the tournaments where his team has participated. He started with a win in the Asian Champions Trophy and then a runners-up finish in the Champions Challenge. A 3-1 home series win over South Africa in January ensured that his team would go to the event high on confidence.
HOME ADVANTAGE/WEAK OPPONENTS
This could work completely in India's favour and they perhaps could not have asked for a better choice to qualify for the Olympics than this. Egged on by thousands of supporters, the Indians are expected to beat teams like Italy (ranked 28) and Singapore (ranked 41) with relatively ease. As for the other three teams in the fray, to beat Canada (14), France (18) and Poland (19) India might have to shed a little sweat.
