Rotten reality

The article Wastes Land (Apr 24) by Rahul tripathi and Risha Chitlangia and other reports on toxic waste were timely and good. The reason so much toxic waste is finding its way to our country is that it is easy to not get caught doing a wrong act here. And, if by some remote chance one gets caught, it is easy to get away with wrongdoing. It is time to enact specific laws to address this issue. Stringent measures must be taken to ensure that proper checks and balances are in place. Awareness campaigns will also help.

How about short stories?

I am happy to see that TOI-Crest has been covering current affairs and topics on a wide range of issues catering to the interest of the diverse readership of your edition. You are also giving welcome quality coverage on topics such as art, literature, and culture. I would like to offer some suggestions: It would be nice if you could include a short story section. Also, first-hand reports of adventures and explorations would be interesting to readers.
