Kumars back on TV Winner of an International Emmy (2002) The Kumars at No. 42, the hit British sitcom, is set to make a comeback. Sanjeev Bhaskar will return as the amateur chat show host who interviews celebrities in his home. The new show, The Kumars at No. 42B, sees the Kumar family forced by the economic downturn to share a flat in west London. "It's incredibly exciting to revisit these warm, oddball characters and bring them up to date, " said Bhaskar. Bhaskar had once said that the inspiration for the show came from an embarrassing evening when he took a girlfriend home to meet his parents. They asked her awkward questions and he wondered how they would react if he invited a famous person to his home.
