Adding a new dimension to the movie-watching experience might be all the rage but does Bollywood have the punchy storylines to back its 3D movies or will it just remain a fad? It took a while for B-Town to understand what colour could do to their lives when we moved from black-and-white cinema to Eastman Color, Technicolor etc. And with swiftly evolving technology, the industry has moved reels ahead of the rest.
Now 3D has added yet another option to filmmakers with which they can differentiate their films from the clutter, as movies turn experimental and the audiences more demanding.

And while the concept is not new - the homemade movie My Dear Kuttichathaan was a 3D film as long back as 1984, as was Chhota Chetan, which was also one of earliest 3D movies made in India followed by the Jackie Shroff starrer Shiva Ka Insaaf - the adoption certainly is.
